Hey UTT Followers!

Has anyone told you that they love you lately?  Well, look no further because you found it here from my girlie Betty Who!  This featured track by her is an absolute love of mine and now I’m sharing it with you!  Are you feeling loved already?  If I had to sum up Betty Who’s musical style, I would say her music has a Retro 80’s Pop that leaves you craving for more of it.  She’s definitely an artist to keep an ear out for if you haven’t heard about her yet.  So, check her out and remember …YOU ARE LOVED!

Friday Tracks: Capital Kings

Hey there UTT Friends!  It’s been quite a long time since we’ve shared some inspiring musical moments together, but here we are again kickin’ it off with a Friday Track that’ll definitely lift the spirits.  Since my time away, I’ve discovered some amazing music that really stirs and energizes my spirit.

Let me introduce you to a duo that’s so dynamic, that they are changing the way Christian music is being heard all over the nation.  They call themselves Capital Kings, a band derived out of Washington D.C.  Their names are Jon White (singer) and Cole Walowac (mixer/rapper) and they are unlike anything I’ve heard in the Christian market.

What makes this duo so unique is their compilation of many musical styles which include dance, pop, dubstep, hip-hop,  and alternative.  But their uniqueness doesn’t stop there.  These two musical trendsetters are rockin’ their way all over the nation while spreading the message of Jesus Christ along the way.  With God as the source and center of their music, these two guys are reaching out to many young people of this generation and leading their hearts to Jesus.  Their music directs its focus on connecting with an audience that’s truly in need of an uplifting, purpose-driven message in this crazy world we live in.  And what better way to do this then by drawing listeners to music that sounds mainstream, while being completely rooted in God, love, purpose, faith, and hope!

So before you decide to tune these guys out because they’re a Christian music group, check out their video first and open your ears to something that is shifting the way we all view Christian music.  I promise you that they will prove worthy to your ears.

Friday Tracks: James Blake

If I could sum up James Blake’s latest track “Retrograde” in one word, it would have to be ASTOUNDING!  Why you might be asking? First off, Blake’s voice oozes out soulful and sultry verses that leave you intrigued for more.  Upon first listen, I was reeled in by the bluesy tone of the song as Blake’s voice hauntingly seals the deal on my eardrums.  Blake is clearly talented in his vocal range which is why this video made it to my Friday Tracks List!

Addictions of a Music Junkie

If you’re a person who wakes up every morning craving the intoxicating elements of a beat, chorus, lyric, or rhythm to jumpstart your day…then consider yourself a bonafide Music Junkie!  Being a Music Junkie is not just a label to describe musically addicted people, it’s a lifestyle and one that our fellow MJ Medina makes entertaining and delightful throughout her video “Addiction”.

Medina is one of my favorite dance artists and before I even saw the video, I was already addicted to the song.  The video  provides a wonderful visual of the life a Music Junkie experiences which would make anyone want a little taste of it.  Until that happens, savor every moment of this video and rest assured that you’re not the only one who’s a slave to the music!

Much Love,

Tempest

Friday Tracks: Lindsey Stirling

Happy Friday my lovelies!

This week’s track is one I happened to stumble upon and fell in love with!  It’s called “Crystalize” performed by the very talented Lindsey Stirling, a classical violinist who adds a nice twist of dubstep and hip-hop.  Not only is the sound beautiful, but so is the video.  Check it out for yourself and leave me comments on what you think about her!

Much Love,

Tempest
