Love Like Cocoa Butter: India.Arie

Can it really be?  Yes indeed!  It’s the lovely India.Arie smoothing her way back onto the music scene with her latest single “Cocoa Butter“.  It is of no surprise that India.Arie would once again grace us with her soulful, spiritual, and romantic ballads because it is simply what she does best.  “Cocoa Butter,” is a sultry kick off to her upcoming fifth studio album, SongVersation.

India.Arie certainly knows how to tap into one’s soulful reservoir with lyrics like these:

“Your love is like Cocoa Butter on my heart, your touch is like Cocoa Butter on my heart, your kiss is like Cocoa Butter on my heart, oh boy you’re like Cocoa Butter on my heart.”

Happy Monday Early Birds!

Here’s a sweet little tune that will help ease you into your day.  The song is called “Can’t Hide the Sun” by Nathan Thomas, an aspiring musical artist straight out of Dallas, TX.  I discovered this guy on the New Myspace  and as soon as I heard this song, I was hooked! The beat, the lyrics, and sounds just reel you in and literally make you want to mentally escape.  Check it out for yourself and let me know what you think!

Today’s track introduces an artist you may have heard before…Pistol Annies ringing any bells? Well, meet Ashley Monroe, an American country music singer-songwriter. She has released two solo singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart that I personally enjoy titled, “Satisfied” and “I Don’t Want To”.

Her latest studio album “Like a Rose” recently released last week and is a real country charmer!  Be sure to check her music out on iTunes and enjoy the video!
